Antoine Sylvestre Agostini dit Tony Agostini

(Bastia (Corse) 1916 – Antony (Hauts de Seine) 1990).

During an administrative career, he knew Eugène Paul, this Gene Paul, Francis Carco and Marcel Aymé in Montmartre in 1944 and then came to painting. Animated scene painter, figures, cityscapes, interiors, dead natures, fleurs, gouache painter, designer. post-cubist.
Possibly influenced by Gen Paul in color, both shocked and glaucous, as to the shape, he observes the strict Cezanne principles sometimes influenced by cubism. In its beginnings, painter of crowds and squares and streets of Paris, he then favored still lifes.

He has appeared in several annual Paris salons since 1953 (Salon of Painters Witnesses of their Time, Paris School – Charpentier Gallery…) and thematic exhibitions (Discover, Prix Greenshields, Shapes and Colors, Tuileries Salon…) ; as well as participation in collective exhibitions abroad (New York 1960, San Francisco 1962).
