Georges Stein painted urban landscapes, in oil or watercolor : London, Montecarlo, and especially typical Paris.

Painter specialist in Paris views, Georges Stein has perfectly transcribed the atmosphere of the Belle Epoque in his paintings. This columnist and illustrator describes with precision the thousand aspects of Parisian life at the end of the 19th century.

He represented the emblematic places of the capital : The Flowers Markets of Madeleine and that of the Ile de la Cité , The Champs-Elysées , Concierge , The Institute and the Quais de Seine , The St Jacques tower , The Ile de la Cité , Luxembourg gardens , Opera , The Red Mill , Our Lady , Les Folies Bergères , and the great boulevards with his hectic life .

Georges Stein has also portrayed the company from the years 1900 through different views of Nice, Lausanne and London. Georges Stein exhibited at the Société des Artistes Français.

The Carnavalet Museum in Paris retains some of its works.
