Henri Alexandre Sollier (1886-1966)

Study of Fran1cois Flameng, Français shimmering it J.adler.

He regularly exhibited at the Salon of French Artists before before 1914, where he obtained in 1920 a mention.

He worked for three months in Dakar, Hence he brought back some characteristic works. In 1922 He received the French West Africa Prize.

From 1929, Brittany became its source of inspiration, Ports and villages in the region predominate in his work. Silver medals in 1930, d’or en 1934 and 1937 (International exhibition).

After 1957, He worked successively in Auvergne, In Haute-Savoie, in Provence and Italy. He was a member of the committee and the jury of French artists in 1937.

Especially landscaper, He was also an architectural painter. The former Museum of Colonies in Paris retained his works as well as the Casablanca Museum.
