He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon.

Mainly painter of still lifes, especially flowers, he was also a landscape painter and brought back many landscapes from his travels in Italy, Spain, Corsica and on the French Riviera.

He regularly exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in Lyon..

25 pages on the life of a multi-faceted man- Jean Farjot

Until 1981, the workforce of the rue Jules-Massenet hosiery, in the center of the Coteau, is about 80 people. The story begins in 1921. One year earlier, Melvina, wife of Edouard Pauporté, started at home, Avenue of the Republic, in the knitting of socks for soldiers.

“I was interested in this man in his three dimensions, says Jean Farjot. He was first a silk designer passing from house to house without really finding his happiness.. At the same time, he developed his talents as a painter in the tradition of the Lyon school. Et, when he sees that Malvina, his wife, is able to create collections and with their son to run the business, he will do what he always wanted to do : paint. »

Edouard Pauporté died in 1939. His paintings are numerous. His painting is “academic”. Above all, he leaves a diary of 700 pages retyped by the family on a typewriter. These documents enabled Jean Farjot to trace in 25 pages the journey of a man.
