Boat in many the Somme or Canche
Brisville (French school of the 20th century)
The many the Somme is located on the coast of Picardy in France. It extends over 70 km. It is of great ecological wealth, particularly as an ornithological hotspot..
The Bay of Somme is located between the Pointe du Hourdel to the south and the Pointe de Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont to the north. The Somme, coastal river which gave its name to the department, flows into the English Channel at this location.
The bay is mainly made up of two environments :
- let lick, mudflat area, covered by the sea twice a day,
- the schorre or “mollières” which is covered by the sea only during high tides.
It is made up of two interlocking estuaries :
- that of the Somme to the south, and
- that of Maye, small coastal river, North.
However, it is threatened with silting and the first symptoms are already visible..
Another marine is proposed to you.
