Jacques Alfred Brielman (Born the 07/04/1834 in Paris- 16/02/1892 Paris)

Jacques Alfred Brielman entered a porcelain painting workshop at the age of eleven., and had a difficult start.

He was a pupil of Eugène Lavieille, and became a landscape painter.

He painted in different regions of France : on the banks of the Marne and the Grand Morin, in the Bourbonnais or in Brittany.

An exhibition in Berry

Tomorrow opens at the Saint-Vic museum, the new Forestins exhibition. Entitled Art and matter , it brings together paintings and objects from Berry.

When the works do not belong to the Saint-Vic museum, they come from private collections, but also the music museum of Montluçon, of the Berry Museum in Bourges, of the Jean Baffier art center in Sancoins. »
