The beach and the marina “Les Lecques”
Andre Eugene Louis Blondeau
French school of traveling painters.
We find traces of this artist in Indochina, particularly in Hanoi and the Tonkin region..
The Var will remain a place of predilection and attachment for his long stays in France..
Les Lecques St Cyr sur Mer
Lecques beach, that Lamartine compared to the Bay of Naples, unique in the region, stretches its two kilometers at the bottom of a wide gulf surrounded by wooded hills : the Gulf of Love. Lamartine had described the bay of Lecques as "the most beautiful bay in the world".
Les Lecques is indeed for many a family beach, two marinas and the main tourist district of the town. Also note : at the bottom of the gulf, nestled at the foot of the sand hill, a few meters from Pointe Grenier, la Madrague… a little corner of paradise !
