Granite rocks at Ploumanac’h
Abrial (French school of the 20th century)
The favorite village of the French
If there are sites that are the pride of the Côtes d'Armor, Ploumanac'h is one of those places that, by its atmosphere, his particuliarity, leave visitors with the simple desire to return. By borrowing the customs trail from the port of the village or from the beach of Trestraou in Perros-Guirec, you discover a natural jewel concealing secrets and legends carried by spectacular architectural buildings.
The Ploumanac'h or Mean Ruz lighthouse, emblematic figure of the Côte de Granit Rose, is perched on a huge block of granite and blends perfectly into this curious landscape where the granite rocks offer strange and spectacular shapes. From the lighthouse, the walker has a direct view of the castle of Costaéres, Renote Island and the 7 he is.
The Saint-Guirec oratory is located at the bottom of Saint-Guirec cove and is surrounded by water at high tide. Legend has it that young unmarried girls came to stick a needle in the nose of the saint. If the needle stayed stuck, the wedding vows were granted within the year. If you want to bask or daydream in a heavenly environment, take a break on the beach in front of the castle of Costaéres and let yourself imagine for each rock an improbable resemblance…
