1949-1950 he studied at the master's school for arts and crafts in Berlin.
1950-1956 He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. In the past two years, he is a master's student with Wolf Hoffmann.
Independent artist since 1956 in Berlin, numerous study trips across Europe, especially in France, in Italy and the Netherlands
Since 1965, he teaches painting at the community college. He worked at the Berlin Museum.
Lectures 1970-1974 at the Free University of Berlin, then lecturer at the adult education center
The Mitte Museum in Berlin retains, even several works of this painter.
An exhibition organized in 2012 speak Heimat Museum de Berlin pays tribute to the work of the painter
