From an article of the Watcher Wallon "Artistic Life" February 1929.

“Contemplating the works of Paul Sterpin, a thought Reynolds, the great English artist, arises in memory : "The talent to imitate real objects is probably the first that the artist must acquire, but he must be that it is the last and the nearest to perfection ".

The art Sterpin is precisely the implementation of the first ; this art tends, indeed, a kind of interpretation that goes up to idealize the topics the artist captures the beauty and practicality, beyond the eyes and mind of the layman.

Paul Sterpin is a nature admirer, he exudes the beauty, it offers to our admiration through his art.
He likes to paint large calm and accurate landscapes and his paintings are made with a sensitivity of good quality.

This artist includes the poetry of the Meuse sites ; he feels the rest genuine admiration for our unavoidable river. Several sites of the beautiful country of Sambre and Meuse are widely treated and it is pleasantly refreshes the view of landscapes of the Semois aptly chosen.

He paints with fervor and a robust range and nourished the sites of his native village : "Close to Spy", "Older wheels", and especially "Standing in Spy", are excellent paintings”.

Another landscape work is offered to you.
