Peyrot des Gachons Andhré (1871 Burning-La Chaussee sur Marne 1951)
Andhré Stanislas Albert Peyrot des Gachons was a student of William Bouguereau and Tony Robert-Fleury at the Académie Julian.
It is one of the most singular artists of the late twentieth century, an extreme case of symbolism. It imposes on the artistic scene of the 1890 and through mutations by signing a dreamlike and fantastic painting where the anti-naturalism, aura poetic mysticism and esoteric Rosicrucian are important. The artist expressed himself in an original way in different disciplines, be it painting, graphic arts and decorative arts, becoming a figure of modernity.
He exhibited at the Salon from 1892. His watercolors are delicate. In 1893, he exhibited in Lille where he settled 14 St. Andrew Street. From 1913, La Chaussee-sur-Marne, he painted and weather observations each day, regular hours, small watercolors. More than 77 000 have been sent to the weather service to Paris.
He illustrated several books including Lourdes Emile Zola and Gustave Flaubert Salammbô.
