Suzanne Depincé (née Armelin) is the wife of a senior colonial official, assigned between Indochina 1902 and 1906. It is one of the first artists to present Tonkin in the early twentieth. After returning to France, she is staying again in the Far East shortly before the First World War. She actively participates in the Colonial Exhibition 1931, by making some paintings on the theme of Annam's ethnic minorities, some of which are still present at the Musée du Quai Branly.
